Drag racing, or as it is called in Britain, sprint racing," pits two motorcycles
against each other in a short burst of speed down a straght track.
It is the oldest form of motorcycle racing, dating back to 1900.

In Colorado, motorcycle drag racing occurs regularly at Bandimere Speedway near Morrison.
The British sprint motorcycle replica uses a 500 cc Weslake engine
and a two-speed track transmission. The bike runs on methanol.
