Another early morning start. I logged 100 miles by 7:30 AM. Many thanks to Ozona, TX for having a gas station near the highway, because I nearly ran out of gas today. Rode 235 miles and took 6.375 gallons at gas stop while my gas tank only holds 6.7 gallons. The mileage is not as good with 6 cylinder motor as it is with a V-twin, but I prefer the flat 6 engine, due to increased HP. I have 118 HP on my flat 6 as compared to about 69 HP for a large displacement V-twin.

Stopped in San Antonio, TX to see the San Juan Mission, but I got there 40 minutes after the monument officially closed. I was still able to take a few pictures but there wasn't much to see while looking over the fence. Got into Houston about 10:00 PM at night. I was so glad it was Sunday evening, because the traffic was lighter than normal. That highway traffic was the most intense of any that I would travel. High temperature for today was about 95 degrees.

Cumulative motorcycle return waves today: 125
